How to stop yahoo email from being started up and leaving yahoo as home page?

Somehow, my yahoo mail has automatically logged me on as opposed to just going to the Yahoo Home Page. How do I turn off the automatic startup of yahoo mail? If someone could please share what I need to do I would be most appreciative. Thanks!
